What we charge
- Homeowners pay us a monthly subscription. That's our revenue line.
- Small service fee (5-10% by tier) applies to ad-hoc jobs only.
- Recurring work from subscribers carries no per-job platform fee.
What this is not.
If you've been burned by Angi, Thumbtack, or HomeAdvisor, the difference is the model.
Not a lead-gen site.
You don't pay us per lead. You don't bid against four other crews on a phone-tag thread. The homeowner has already hired HoneyDid. We're hiring you to do the work.
Not 'submit your best price and pray.'
Scope is locked before you quote. Photos and urgency are attached. If a site visit is needed, we coordinate it with the homeowner.

We pick the right contractor for the homeowner, not the cheapest. Quality and reliability put you on the preferred bench, where the recurring work lives.

Active Michigan license
For regulated trades (residential builder, M&A, pesticide applicator, etc.). We verify against LARA before your first quote.
Current Certificate of Insurance
General liability minimum, with HoneyDid named additional insured. We file an updated COI annually.
W-9 + signed IC agreement
You stay independent. We pay you on completed work via Stripe Connect.
Service area in West Michigan
Kent, Ottawa, and adjacent counties for now. We expand the contractor bench as the homeowner footprint grows.
Common questions.
- Are these subscription jobs guaranteed work?
- Recurring services (lawn, snow, gutter cleaning) line up like a real schedule once a homeowner subscribes. Ad-hoc work is dispatched on demand: more reliable than lead-gen but not a guaranteed pipeline. The contractors we keep on the preferred bench see the most volume.
- When do I get paid?
- After the homeowner confirms the work is done (typically same day or next day). Funds release through Stripe Connect. The hold is short and exists so we have leverage if a homeowner flags an issue in the satisfaction window.
- Can I keep my own customers?
- Yes. The IC agreement does not assign your existing book to HoneyDid. We only route HoneyDid members to you. If a HoneyDid member tries to hire you off-platform, we ask you to point them back to us; otherwise the membership model breaks.
- What if I'm too busy to take a job?
- Decline it. We route to the next preferred contractor. Decline rates inform the bench order over time, but a single skip does not penalize you.
